Logo
Logo is a name, symbol or trademark of a company or organization. A logo is also defined as a graphical, illustrative or typographical representation of a company's identity. The word "logo" is short for "logotype."

Banners
Also referred to as a banner ads, a banner is a typically rectangular advertisement placed on a Web site either above, below or on the sides of the Web site's main content and is linked to the advertiser's own Web site. In the early days of the Internet, banners were ads with text and graphic images. Today, with technologies such as Flash, banners have gotten much more complex and can be ads with text, animated graphics and sound. Most commerce-related Web sites use banner ads. Advertisers also use interstitials and hyperstitials. Interstitial is an advertisement that appears in a separate browser window while a user waits for a Web page to load. Interstitials are more likely to contain large graphics, streaming presentations, and applets than conventional banner ads, and some studies have found that more users click on interstitials than on banner ads. Some users, however, have complained that interstitials slow access to destination pages. Hyperstitial is an application that runs alongside a browser, allowing advertisers to present full-screen ads during the delay of Web page downloads. As users wait for the content of a Web site to be displayed, or downloaded, Hyperstitial "ads" are displayed in a similar manner as television commercials. Viewers are subjected to the advertisements, which are more difficult to ignore than banner ads.
